How does an electronic cigarette compare to a real cigarette ?

An e-cigarette might look like a cigarette, but it doesn’t burn tobacco like a cigarette, and of course it doesn’t produce the smell of cigarette smoke. Can electronic cigarettes be used to quit smoking ?

Electronic cigarettes have not been approved by the FDA as a nicotine replacement therapy.
